He has a long history of research in motion, vibration and thermoelectric energy recovery, vehicle dynamics and control, mechatronics design, intelligent materials and systems. He is one of the most internationally renowned experts and leaders in energy harvesting research. He and his research team have made a series of outstanding research achievements in the field of energy harvesting research, and has won several American and international awards.
Wei-Hsin Liao, Professor, Chinese university of Hongkong, China. Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Fellow of the British Physical Society. He received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University, University Park, USA. His research interests include smart structures, vibration control, energy harvesting, mechatronics, and medical devices. His research has led to publications of over 300 technical papers in international journals and conference proceedings, and 20 patents.
